Industry-Leading Training Program

Upon start date, every trainee will be given a detailed description of the requirements, training curriculum, expectations and career path to follow completion of the Franklin Street training program.


The training program is split into four stages over the course of one year and is divided into the following categories:

  • Real Estate Knowledge 
  • Sales, People & Business Skills
  • Technical Skills
  • Franklin Street 
  • Insurance Knowledge 

  • All trainees are required to take the determined prerequisites, as well as the required courses in their chosen line of business. After the completion of each of the four stages, a knowledge assessment test is given.
    Content is delivered through a combination of online recordings, available 24/7 at the convenience of the trainee's schedule, as well as live lectures with valuable face-to-face learning. A snapshot of the 4-stage program is outlined below. 

    Course Curriculum

    Stage 1

    Months 1 to 3

    At completion of this stage, the trainee should have a good understanding of the fundamentals of real estate and of the Franklin Street platform, business lines, core values and value proposition.

    Courses consist of video recordings that trainees can access at any time. Courses include:

    1. Franklin Street 
    2. Frankie 
    3. Basic Real Estate
    4. Local Market Overview


    Stage 2

    Months 4 to 7

    Trainees will learn the foundational skills needed to provide value and a high level of service to their future clients. 
    Courses are a combination of video recordings and live lectures.
    They include:

    1. Real Estate: Cap Rates, Operating Statements 
    2. Selling: Cold Calling, Spin Selling
    3. Legal: Leases, Purchase Contracts, Financing Agreements
    4. Sales & Business: Time Management, Goals, Business Planning
    5. Business Line Specific Topics
    6. Property Type Specific Topics


    Stage 3

    Months 8 to 12

    Continue to refine and build upon the foundational tools and more advanced skills that will allow agents to flourish in their markets.

     Training in this stage is more detailed and specific to a line of business. Most of this stage consists of live lectures with opportunities for the trainees to ask questions. Courses include:

    1. Managing Buyers and Sellers 
    2. Showing Space
    3. Leading a Market Tour
    4. Fee Negotiation


    Stage 4

    Months 12 & Beyond

    The purpose of this stage is to assist agents in building their business and to give them the tools they need to become top performers.

    Trainees are now being held to sales activity expectations and are focusing on generating revenue and developing client relationships. Courses include:

    1. Classes focused on business development  
    2. Advanced real estate and insurance subjects
